Yesterday marked a significant milestone in Tunisia's energy landscape with the establishment of the National Electricity and Gas Company. Since its inception in 1962, this esteemed public entity has tirelessly worked towards ensuring a staggering 99.9% electricity access rate across Tunisia. By steadfastly prioritizing public service over profit, it has effectively managed the intricate processes of electricity production, transmission, and distribution. However, a paradigm shift looms on the horizon as the private sector assumes control over renewable energy production. Under this new arrangement, the public sector's role will transition to overseeing electricity transmission, transportation, and infrastructure development. Its is our job to defend and to support the trade union for their struggle against the forced liberalization of the electricity market “madness"#Energy_is_a_public_good_not_a_commodity

Somaya from Gaza trying to describe why Gaza people leave thier homes ::🚨 The Israeli Occupation planes follow a designated path, leaving behind a line of destruction before commencing their bombings.🚀🚀These attacks consist of successive, simultaneous, and ferocious strikes accompanied by a haunting whistle.☢️The randomness of this destruction, affecting entire neighborhoods rather than specific places, creates initial fear. Surviving this relentless onslaught is left to chance.☢️These nightmarish bombings persist for 4-5 continuous hours during the night, with strikes occurring every 5 minutes. Each explosion shatters house windows and pelts homes with falling debris.🌒The night feels interminable, as we anxiously await the morning. Navigating inside our homes becomes perilous due to the shattered glass.🧨🧨In response, the entire residential neighborhood evacuates to seek safety. In the daylight, the extent of the devastation becomes painfully clear. Approximately 10 buildings in a row lie in ruins.🧨🧨This cycle of destruction repeats, compelling us to leave our houses. It resembles the rampage of a colossal monster, devouring and ravaging the stone foundations of every home.🧨🧨I personally witnessed this scene upon a brief, emotional return to our house after 15 days. Fear and silence prevail, and the neighborhood stands deserted, with houses echoing emptiness. We must walk, as debris has rendered roads impassable to cars. Families in Gaza now share dwellings, and this communal living puts multiple families at risk when a house is targeted.🧨🧨This time, the intensity of the attacks is unprecedented. 🕋But our faith in a just outcome remains unshaken, as we believe in the triumph of truth over falsehood, even in these dire circ*mstances. 🕋🇵🇸🕋
