Delighted to share that I've successfully cleared all my NCA exams! For those who are unfamiliar, these exams validate that internationally educated lawyers, like myself, meet the educational standards equivalent to the graduates of Canadian law schools. Having fulfilled the NCA requirements, I'm now eligible to embark on the lawyer licensing journey, encompassing experiential training (typically articling) and the Barrister and Solicitor examinations.I'm actively seeking #articling student positions, bringing experience in litigation. My experience encompasses handling cases of both civil and criminal nature. While my inclination is toward civil/torts law, I'm open to diverse learning opportunities that guide me to the courtrooms where I belong. Today marks the end of my employment at Supreme Court of Pakistan. I joined this prestigious institution last year as Judicial Assistant. I have enjoyed a lot while working with my awesome colleagues whom I found more than helpful in every aspect.This was something I'd been missing in my career. I wanted to work with a big organization where I could make some impact on society, and I am glad to say that I did my part with full dedication. I not only polished my problem solving skills by assuming a quasi judicial role, but also learnt to work with high officials and subordinate staff in a hierarchical environment - something which I could not get to experience in boutique law firms.But now, it's time to move on. I am going to be more focused on my career as a lawyer. I expect good developments - better developments - to happen in the coming months for which I am really excited to gear up.The photo is from my first day at the Supreme Court.
