🀩 Here is why this recipe is amazing:

  • Make sunday brunch time any time when you serve strawberry mimosas.
  • Make the orange juice and strawberry blend ahead and just top off with champagne when you are ready to serve.
  • Make the fruit blend base once and it can be used for both traditional strawberry mimosas and virgin mimosas.

πŸ“ Ingredients needed:

  • Strawberries
  • Orange juice
  • Champagne, or prosecco
  • Fresh strawberries and orange slices for garnish

Here is a visual overview of the ingredients in the recipe. Scroll down to the recipe at the bottom for quantities.

πŸ“ Ingredient notes:

  • Strawberries - Use fresh, clean strawberries and remove the tops for the strawberry puree. Choose the most beautiful strawberries to use for the garnish, leaving the green tops on for added color.
  • Orange juice - I believe that fresh squeezed orange joice will take this mimosa to the next level. But truthfully, I use store bought bottled orange juice for this recipe.
  • Champagne -

πŸ”„ Substitutions

  • Champagne - produced in Champagne can be called and labeled Champagne. Similar sparkling white wine products such as Prosecco, CrΓ©mant, sparkling Rose or Sekt.
  • For a non alcoholic version switch out the champagne for sparkling orange juice.
  • Juice - Cranberry juice, white grape juice, peach juice or raspberry puree all are great substitites for the orange juice.

πŸ“ Frequently asked questions, answers and tips:

Is champagne and prosecco the same?

Both Champagne and prosecco are sparkling white wines, Champagne is a blend of chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot meunier grapes grown in the Champagne region of northeast France. Only champagne produced in Champagne can be called and labeled Champagne. Prosecco is a sparkling white wine from Veneto region of Italy and is made from glera grapes.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Chef Tip

Choose champagne that fits with your sweetness preference. Demi-Sec can have up to 50 grams per liter of residual sugar, Extra dry has a light sweetness, Brut is the most popular because it is both dry and sweet with less than 12 grams per liter of residual sugar and Extra Brute contains zero to six grams per liter of residual sugars.
